The Committee on Environmental Health advises the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) on issues pertaining to environmental health and toxic exposure. Canadian Institute of Child Health (CICH) – Environmental Health
The CICH is governed by a volunteer board of directors, guided by an expert advisory council, and led by professional staff. It works with government and industry to bring attention to children’s health care issues and ensure appropriate policies are developed. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)
The CDC addresses a wide range of health-related topics. The Environmental Health section of their website features a table of contents where searchers can choose from a variety of topics, including air quality, carbon monoxide, food safety, hazardous waste sites, pesticides, and water quality. Children’s Environmental Health Network

Children’s Environmental Health Project
This is a direct link to CAPE’s Children’s Environmental Health Project. Its intent is to introduce clinicians and their patients to children’s environmental health issues. Canada is working hard to protect and restore the Great Lakes ecosystem. This November 2003 report (256 pages in length) was prepared by The Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) in Canadian Schools Project and Atlantic Health Promotion Research Centre; Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS, Canada and prepared for the Population Health Fund, Health Canada. Global Learning and Observations to Benefit the Environment (GLOBE)
GLOBE is a hands-on international environmental science and education program. GLOBE links students, teachers, and the scientific research community in an effort to learn more about the environment through student data collection and observation. Students in schools throughout the world conduct a continuing program of scientifically meaningful environmental measurements. GLOBE students transmit their data to a central data processing facility via the Internet, receive vivid images composed of their data and data from other GLOBE schools around the world, acquire information form a variety of sources, and collaborate with scientists and other GLOBE students and communities worldwide in using these data for education and research.

MEDLINEPlus is a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health. The Environmental Health page provides current consumer health information. Searchable topics include latest news on environmental health, articles from the National Institutes of Health, information on current research, statistics, and information aimed at children and teenagers. The searcher can also choose to link to medical articles in MEDLINE on the topics of general environmental health, hazardous waste, and water pollution. National Center for Environmental Health (CDC)
This is the National Center for Environmental Health’s section of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). New York Online Access to Health (NOAH) – Environmental Health
NOAH: New York Online Access to Health is the result of a combination of organizations who joined forces to provide end-users a place on the World Wide Web to access reliable consumer health information. Washington DC Department of Health – Environmental Health Administration
The mission of the Environmental Health Administration is to prevent and control environmentally related diseases while protecting and preserving the ecological system in the District of Columbia. The Environmental Health Administration is comprised of the following four bureaus: Bureau of Hazardous Materials and Toxic Substances; Bureau of Food, Drug and Radiation; Bureau of Environmental Quality; and Bureau of Community Hygiene.
