This is a compact site which gives a list of 41 FAQ’s about this disease, as well as causes and treatments. This site also addresses legal/financial and advocacy issues. There is information on adaptive equipment, caregivers, vital statistics, related links and other resources.
ALS – Doctors Guide to the Internet
This site offers "the latest medical news and information for patients or friends/parents of patients diagnosed with ALS and ALS-related disorders." This site is composed of lists of helpful links, grouped into the following sections: medical news and alerts, ALS information, and discussion groups and newsgroups. There is also the possibility of receiving e-mail notification to stay abreast of further ALS developments on the Internet.
ALS/MND
"This site explores the possible effect of Anti Oxidants, Liver Function and readily available medications, supplements and therapies on the progress of (ALS) Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis or (MND) Motor Neuron Disease." There is also information on diet, mental attitudes, and theories and research. This site is primarily text, and can be cut and pasted into a word processing application, or saved to a file for easy access off-line.
