The Nephron Information Center
The Nephron Information Center site explains the functions of the kidneys, renal and other organs. This site contains information on transplantation, urology, dialysis units in the USA, dialysis patients, professionals, government, and quality improvement. One section on preESRD (end-stage renal disease) is a very useful resource, arranged into a guidebook with illustrations and easy-to-understand explanations. There is also a helpful, informative section on nutrition for renal patients.
