While this site lacks in medical information, it is an excellent source of support and information on making life with COPD more comfortable.

The fact sheet is a collection of statistic relating to COPD. Information provided includes reported cases, causes of COPD, treatment information, and symptoms. This site is scarce in its volume of and depth of information, but is an adequate site for statistical references.
Ask Noah About: COPD
Ask Noah offers credible links on a large number of medical issues. The COPD section offers links to COPD in general as well as specific links to chronic bronchitis and emphysema. The links provided are mostly American in content, but two links are provided to the Canadian Lung Association, and to their Ontario division.

It is a book-style guide and provides the following: an introduction and general overview of COPD including its effects on Canadian society, in-depth information on the anatomy of the disease, diagnostic information, and management strategies including medication and preventative measures. This site is an excellent source of credible and detailed information on COPD and coping with the disease.

This site is maintained by a pulmonary specialist, Dr. Lawrence Martin, M.D. It contains copious volumes of credible information on a wide range of respiratory diseases. The Bronchitis and Emphysema section provides details on the difference between the two, treatments, symptoms, causes, and information on living with either form of COPD. A number of diagrams are presented, making the material easy to comprehend.
ViaHealth Respiratory Disorders: COPD
ViaHealth, a Rochester, New York based medical center, provides information on COPD through its categorized components: asthma, chronic bronchitis, and pulmonary emphysema. For each, information provided consists of a definition of the disease, symptoms, causes, diagnostic information, and treatment. The information provided is not in great detail, but this is an excellent site for reference on COPD.
