As well, there is a flow-chart of what to do if your child experiences difficulty in breathing, allowing the parent to make the appropriate decision, to seek the advice of a family physician, or if the symptoms are such that they require emergency assistance.

This site is provided by ParentsPlace.com, a leader in parenting information including child health information. Their croup page provides causes of croup, symptoms, information on what to do if you child gets croup, and when a parent should seek medical help. While this page provides minimal information about croup, it is a good reference for information once croup has been diagnosed.
