Reo Motor Car Co. Ltd., an American company started by Ransom E. Olds in 1904, began Canadian production in St. Catherines, Ontario in 1909. After several years of varying success, the company fell upon hard times and moved to Windsor in 1922 where it assembled Speed Wagon trucks in a building at Church and Chatham Streets. This same building was later occupied by the Packard Motor Car Company. In 1931 the operation was moved to Toronto.
